A deeper, more voluptuous rhythm distilled for the midnight hours. The North Gate Premium Kokuto Shochu (黒糖焼酎) is our house-distilled brown sugar spirit, offering a rich and soulful counterpoint to our classic rice expression. Sourced from premium local sugarcane and unrefined brown sugar of the northern valleys, this spirit is slowly distilled in small batches to coax out a deeply aromatic, round, and velvety profile.
Dressed in a striking crimson-and-black colorway, the block-printed label embraces a raw, rebellious underground gig-poster aesthetic. It reinterprets the iconic panels of our mountain ridges, local harvests, and the elusive mountain Serow under a dark, eclipsed sun. Bold, complex, and unscripted, it stands at 28% ABV—a seductive liquid sanctuary best sipped slowly as the basslines vibrate through the floorboards.
